It's here, Japanese publisher Super Labo's beautiful new edition of Greg Hunt's intimate portrait of his friend Jason Dill, originally published in 2018 through Paradigm. For the great number of people that missed out on that impossible to find first edition now may be your only chance to right that wrong.
Ninety Six Dreams, Two Thousand Memories spans 17 years of Greg documenting Jason Dill from the height of his Alien Workshop days, through his battles with drugs and alcohol, through to the present day of the FA stable of companies that has been such a huge success. It's an hugely candid and personal portrait of one of skateboarding's most celebrated personalities that could only have been realised by a close friend. Alongside photos there are motion picture stills, ephemera, and additional pictures and drawings by Jason Dill himself.
Edition of 800, hardcover with dust jacket, full colour offset, 20.3 X 27.9 cm. Comes with a 12 page full colour offset Japanese translation insert. Printed in Japan.
Foreword by Greg Hunt, closing words by Jason Dill.
For those that did manage to bag a copy of the Paradigm book there is so much in here to warrant owning both. The dimensions of the book, cover design and contents have been changed by Greg himself for this Super Labo edition and the photographs have been retouched and work done on the colour, giving the book a warmer, richer, more saturated look. If you didn't, this comes with as higher recommendation as can be given.
You will not find a more handsomely produced book than this in 2020, or in any other year come to think of it.
