Асфальт 07

Issue 07 of Russian magazine Asphalt, a magazine that has to go down as one of the best single issues of any magazine that has sat on the shelves of Palomino (you might get that impression from the amount of product shots!).

Presented with an extremely handsome high gloss 4 page fold out front cover, this issue features Adidas Skateboarding Russia in Vladivostok with drawings by Mark Andronovand photos from Alexey Lapin, Lenin's Story, a companion piece to the article in Free issue 29 featuring Alex Krasnyi skating only Lenin monuments, an artist's portfolio by Ilya Batrakov an amazing set of rural photographs, Absurd in Novorossiysk, one of the biggest cities in the Black Sea area shot by Alexey Lapin, Trepang (skateshop in Saint Petersburg) in Cyprus shot by Oleg Larionov, and Asphalt in Antalya also shot by Alexey Lapin on the gold coast of Turkey.

Again, be warned that this is a Russian language magazine, if you can't read Russian you're not going to understand a word of it, but believe me it's all the better for it and this issue is heavily photography based. A Russian magazine that's brave enough to present itself in its mother tongue.

124 pages, full colour, 27cm X 20cm.
