Sahten - The SkatePal Cookbook

Sahten translates from Arabic to English roughly as "two health", their equivalent of "bon appetit" if you will. Please don't be mistaken in thing Sahten is just a cookbook though, Sahten is a beautiful document of a burgeoning skate scene still in its infancy. Each recipe is illustrated by Palestinian-Canadian animator Noor Abouseido, and coloured in by young skaters in Palestine and the Palestinian community in Canada.

Alongside 15 recipes from locals and visitors alike there are interviews with local skaters and SkatePal staff Aram Sabbah and Wala Qamhieh, as well as professional skater and SkatePal team member Ryan Lay, a chapter by Tessa Fox on the yearly olive harvest, how to make a chopping board and more.

Photography by Will Jivcoff, Sam Hutchinson, Clement Le Gall, Sam Ashley, Dorothy Iskrzynska, Keisha Finai, Loïc Laforge, Tom Bird and many more.

I know this gets written way too many times on this site, but I cannot recommend this highly enough. Get it on you shelves and into your belly!
