The new book from Lola Paprocka and Pani Paul, featuring portraits shot in their home studio over the past 5 years of the incredible young people of the London skateboarding and creative community. Beautifully composed, shot and presented, it's an amazing time capsule of London in the second half the the 2010s. "Kind of a 'historical document', a book of portraits of people that existed at a certain time".
116 pages, 56 UV coated colour plates, hardcover, published by Lola and Pani's own Palm*. The book begins with an introduction by David Campany and ends with Alastair McKimm in conversation with Lola & Pani by William Barnes..
I cannot recommend this book of intimate, informal and unforced portraits highly enough. Devoid of any exterior environment, styling, props or photographer's ego. Each photograph is purely about the presence and personality of the person in front of the camera. Another great addition to Palomino's shelves at the start of 2021.
