It's hard to believe, but this is Patrick O'Dell's first ever book. And the man who brought us Epicly Later'd certainly doesn't disappoint with Big River, a series of photographs shot in 2017 during a canoe trip from Missouri to Louisiana.
Along with Heath Kirchart, Ky Tait, and June the dog Patrick spent 34 days travelling the great American river for 1057 miles almost sinking canoes, through storms, past factories and through "Miles wide of nothing". Alongside photos from the river there are those taken during Patrick's walks on days of the river, searching for a history he learnt of in school.
