The sixth of Takahiro Morita's 25th anniversary reissues of his Far East Skate Network videos.
Originally released in 2005, 4 years after the previous, not only was it the 6th FESN video, it also doubled as the first Fatbros video, the skateshop in the Nakano area of Tokyo. Whereas the previous five videos had seen Takahiro travelling throughout Japan covering the country's various scene's Behind The Broad centred the focus on his own area, crew and scene. Takahiro also let his hair down a little on this one and that resulted in a much looser video, taking the medium a little less seriously. Essentially the first Japanese video featuring a healthy dose of hi-jinx. As Takahiro said as he passed over the camera to a second filmer, "It can be anything as long as it's fun to watch".
Killer skating throughout with Takahiro himself, Fumihiro Watashinabe, Yuichi Ohara, Yoshiharu Yoshida, Simon Lockett, Futoshi Sewa, Yuki Ganeko Toru Yoshida, Alex Lee Chang, Yuzo Kudo, Daisuke Tanaka, Gou Miyagi, Shin Okada, Junichi Gonsho, Lui Araki and a good chunk more of the mid 2000s Tokyo scene. Also a good dose of Quim Cardona!
50 minutes with a thirteen minute documentary on the production of the video.
Comes with a full colour 16 page booklet about the production of the video and a sticker.
The FESN series just keeps on coming. Amazing, I've said it before if you are in any way a follower of skateboard videos and don't have these on your shelf you need to get yourself a copy for sure.
