Another one of those things that comes around once in a blue moon, and one that proves no matter how many different books and 'zines come out there's still room for something completely unique to cement your love for our wonderful culture.
Radical Contours is a new 'zine by Jocko Weyland and Gary Kachadourian. Gary made hand drawn mezzotint engravings (not sure, learn here) of Jocko's photos of ramps, parks and bowls, similar to a popular process in 18th-19th century English art where engravers would make engravings of famous paintings.
The 'zines were then printed on a 1930s Sturgis engraving press on Hahnemuhle Copperplate paper. There is not an edition number on these but the metal plates used to print the 'zines will wear out at some point probably between 200 and 1,000.
Photos don't even come close to doing this amazing little concertina 'zine justice, if you in any way trust the opinion of Palomino and love the world of paper based skateboarding, please treat yourself. £14 is a bargain!
